A record-setting blood drive in Guwahati
Four simultaneous donation camps mobilized the community around voluntary blood donation and collected 262 units in one day.
The challenge
Reliable blood supplies depend on donors understanding the need and choosing to take part. The India chapter set out to build awareness and make participation accessible across Guwahati and surrounding areas.

Before the event, students supported a public awareness campaign about voluntary donation. On the day, four donation camps operated simultaneously across the area.
What was reported
The drive collected 262 units of blood—an effort estimated by the chapter to benefit up to 786 patients—and entered the Assam Book of Records.
